Speaking

Here are video clips on innovation and on innovation tournaments.

Workshops

I teach in several open-enrollment executive education programs at Wharton. These are a good way to join with others in a week-long workshop setting. I also do custom workshops within organizations, usually based on a hands-on, interactive innovation challenge of some kind.

Examples of Custom Workshops

LED Lighting Challenge - teams compete to create prototypes of a lighting product using an inventory of construction materials, and earn profits based on a cost model and a market test.
Innovation Tournament focused on an organizational challenge, e.g.
  • In what ways might we create new insurance products to address increasing interest in environmental sustainability?
  • In what ways might we reduce the frequency of elective induction of labor in our birth and delivery unit?
  • How might our video gaming business take advantage of migration to cloud computing?
